National Lottery | the name used for the UK Lottery. |
Oversize Ticket (O/S) | most tickets from around the world are of a standard size, but sometimes a lottery operator will issue a larger, more elaborate ticket for a certain type of game, or for a special occasion. These tickets usually cost more than the standard issues, but have multiple game areas and higher payouts. |
Prize | amount that can be won on a winning lottery ticket. |
Pull Tab | an instant lottery ticket that has paper tabs that are pulled off, instead of a latex scratch panel. |
Recall | a game that has been taken off sale early, due to a problem or mistake on the ticket. |

SC | an abbreviation used to describe a scratch card with the latex scratched off. |

Sample Void (SV) | a sample ticket, issued by the Lottery operators so players and retails can get used to a new ticket. |

Limited Edition | Crucial for collectors, these are scratch cards or other items produced in limited quantities, increasing their desirability. |
Variant | This refers to slight variations in a scratch card design, such as minor color changes or subtle differences in the game mechanics. |
Error Ticket | A ticket with printing errors, misspellings, or other irregularities, which can be highly sought after by collectors. |
Hoarder | While not always a positive term, it can be used to describe someone who collects excessively without much regard for organization or curation. |
